As a self-taught artist, Shanna’s creative journey of giving found objects a second life and her attention to glass placement are fed by her prior career as a professional organizer. Brought up in Wyoming, in addition to being inspired by the history of items, she gravitates towards shapes, colors, layers, movement, and nature.

The overall subject matter and creation process of each body of Shanna’s work aims to spark a meaningful conversation that encourages viewers to unveil their own story within her art and unleash a connection in time with a piece of her art. As a storyteller, she continues to explore different processes and takes inspiration from the world around her. Before making a single cut, she titles her art. This process is against the norm, but keeps her centered on the story inspired by the title.

It is through this discovery process that Shanna can ensure that every piece created is the one and only. Her art can be found in private art collections across the United States.
