Kraig Shirk started working with wood in his teens, but in 2000, started a new hobby making furniture out of beautiful highly-figured wood he found in lumber yards in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania and in the north woods of Pennsylvania. In addition, he has used Big Leaf Maple wood from Oregon and Washington State.


Since moving to Colorado, he has sold furniture at various artisan markets in Colorado and New Mexico. Some of his pieces have found homes in Montana, Oregon, Pennsylvania, and Washington State, to name just a few. His self-taught style of furniture is perfect for this area!
